Asset Building Program
The Asset Building Program promotes the benefit of investing in the financial well being of our communities. Only through sustainable growth of assets (both physical and mental) can our communities continue to strengthen. Asset Building is dedicated to increasing access to asset growth and sustainability through financial education, matched savings, entrepreneurship training, free tax services, and micro enterprise development.
Energy Efficiency Training Academy (EETA)
The Energy Efficiency Training Academy of Northern California provides energy efficiency training solutions for the needs of community action agencies, local governments and private contractors. Click here to visit their website for detailed information.
Energy & Environmental Services Department (EES)
The Energy & Environmental Services Department has programs that are federal and utility company funded, operating home energy saving services to eligible low-income residents in Butte County and to some surrounding counties. This department also provides Save-U-Energy services to residents who are not low-income.
Esplanade House
The Esplanade House is a transitional housing program designed to provide shelter and essential services for homeless families. The facility houses up to 60 families who live in apartments. The facility was completed in 2004 through the combined efforts of the Agency, City of Chico, the Esplanade House Children's Fund, State of California, Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco and many private donations.
Food and Nutrition
The Food and Nutrition Department is dedicated to providing Senior Meals, Surplus Commodities and services through our North State Food Bank. We serve seniors with nutritious noon-time meals at our congregate sites and home delivered meals for seniors who are ill or disabled. Providing surplus food distributions to low-income households of all ages.
