The Esplanade House

The Esplanade House is a transitional housing program designed to provide shelter and essential services for homeless families. The facility houses up to 60 families who live in apartments. The facility was completed in 2004 through the combined efforts of the Agency, the City of Chico, the Esplanade House Children’s Fund, the State of California, the Federal Home Loan Bank and many private donations.

Senior Meals

Senior Meals offers a healthy, noontime meal Monday through Friday, a chance to meet others, and enjoy activities. The program can provide transportation to the dining center when requested. Home delivered meals are available to those seniors who are ill or disabled.

Surplus Food Distribution

The Agency operates the surplus food distribution in a five county area. Surplus foods are distributed to qualified individuals and families once a month in various locations through the counties. This program is funded in part by the United States Department of Agriculture.
